First breast cancer gene

A GENE which causes ­aggressive breast cancer has been found by scientists.
Named ZNF703, it is responsible for about 4,000 cases a year, or one in 12 of the total. It causes the disease by speeding up a cell’s growth rate, making it and daughter cells divide permanently.
